Flow: usability issues of 'View history'
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

As per @Sunpriat comments - "Undoing changes" on Talk:Flow- some valuable points have been raised to provide a consistent user experience for revision review. Specifically, the inconsistent workflow for undo/rollback actions for Flow boards/topics and wikitext based pages.

  1. There are no option for rolling back multiple edits - e.g. 'roll back [# of edits]" for wikitext pages.
  1. Rollback of changes in topic titles is not possible.
  1. 'undo' action for Summary edits will be attributed to a user who was performing 'undo' action. The Summary will then have "Summary last edited by [a username who performed 'undo' action]" which does not describe correctly the undo action. The Summary was just return to some of the previous revision and the author of the revision should be stated in the message.
  1. When the Board description edits cannot be undone, there is no way to revisions that are separated by several revisions - the workaround is to use 'Older edit' and 'Newer edit' options is inconvenient.
  1. Unlike wikitext pages history, 'View history' for Flow boards/topics does not provide any filtering options.
  1. Suppressing posts/topics action does not send notifications to the authors of the posts. If such users do not have flow-suppress user rights, they will not see that suppress action was applied to their posts . There few questions to discuss - should users whose posts were suppressed be able to see that action somehow or to be informed?
  1. "(cur prev topic)" in the beginning of each line - it's hard to separate where the active element, and where just text. Why there is a text not a link? Maybe instead put a placeholder interpunct.
