Page titles on watchlist add/remove notifications use underscores, long titles run off side of page
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When a user watches a page by clicking on the star icon, a notification pops up. This notification contains a link to the page that you watched. In this link, words in the page name are separated by underscores, not by spaces, which is visually unappealing. It also means that long page titles run off the right side of the page. (See attached screenshot.)

Steps to verify:

  1. Go to https://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_is_a_page_with_a_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_very_long_title
  2. Click the star icon at the top.

What should happen:
The title should wrap onto the next line rather than running off the side of the page. This works for most titles if you change the underscores to spaces. (For titles like Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft we will have to think of something else.)

Messages affected include at least:

  • addedwatchtext
  • addedwatchtext-talk
  • removedwatchtext
  • removedwatchtext-talk

I have a hunch that this behaviour is another consequence of the change that caused T153403, but I don't know if this is correct or not.
