A few additional details about the CI sample:

• The sample is limited to recent, recurring active editors on Wikimedia projects. This is defined as users who were active editors in at least 2 of the past 3 months: registered, non-bot editors with at least 5 content edits across all Wikimedia content project.
• Users are sampled from regions across the globe. You can see the list of the wikipedias sampled here: https://github.com/wikimedia-research/Community-Insights-sampling/blob/master/definitions/project-group-assignments.tsv

Recommended next steps:

• If the CI sample would be useful, can you please first reach out to Rebecca Maung (who ran the survey) to confirm if it's ok for your team to reuse? The Community Insights survey was just recently sent out so I want to confirm there are no concerns about reaching out to the same people twice in quick succession. If no problems, she or I can easily and quickly share the list.
• If you are not able to use the CI sample, I or someone else on the Product Analytics team can help generate a new sample for you. The benefit with this approach is that we could generate the sample based on your specific requirements; however, it would take a little time and work to generate. My availability is limited for the next two weeks but I can bring it up in our team triage meeting and see if someone can do it ASAP.

Update: @dchen reached out to Becky Maung with the Global Data and Insights Team and confirmed that the CI sample should not be reused for this purpose in accordance with our privacy policies. We will need to pull new users for this sample. I've updated the task description with the current request.

@dchen we've got a couple of people out this week and lots of end-of-quarter work underway, so we won't be able to take this on. If it's absolutely necessary to do before Megan returns, let me know and I'll reevaluate priorities.
