Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):

Sometimes I want to visit the page that the page was linked to when I get a notification to check on it. To do this right now for page link notifications, I would have to click "View changes", then find the page link in the Diff, and then click on it to get to it. I should be able to click on the page name as a link in the notification in order to get to it. This would also be consistent in design with the rest of MediaWiki as page names when mentioned are always linked so that the user can navigate to them.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):

  • Faster user navigation
  • Consistent UI design

Change 870732 had a related patch set uploaded (by Lectrician1; author: Lectrician1):

[mediawiki/extensions/Echo@master] Change notification page names to links

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/870732

FYI Echo used to have links for page names in notifications but that was removed. I still support my proposed change though.

Change 870732 abandoned by Lectrician1:

Reason:

Uh yeah this ain't happening

Prob bad UX. They had page names originally and were changed for a reason. Having the notification be linked and the page names linked is bad.
