The Wikipedia Preview ETL job does not extract the wiki or page viewed from Wikipedia Preview traffic.
This has not been a problem so far, but it could be very useful in the future. Currently, we can tell when a website starts generating Wikipedia Preview traffic and how that traffic changes over time, but we can't judge whether the website has continued to embed Preview links or not, which limits our ability to understand how best to increase Preview traffic (should we focus on marketing to more sites, or should we focus on getting sites that have already installed it to use it more?). Extracting the page and wiki would let us calculate the number of unique wiki pages for which a website generates Preview traffic, answering this question.
As of March 2023, there are no concrete plans for Inuka or Marketing to focus on increasing Preview traffic to the extent that this would make sense to do, although there's a good chance that will happen over the next year or so. Until that happens, we won't prioritize this.
