I wonder why this new message variant is said to be "not translatable" (on Translatewiki), when the similar message (without the "-with-link" trailer) is translatable and translated.

May be that's transitional because the needed "$1" parameter (documented in your repository in the "/qqq" message) is still not properly handled by your code (it still does not pass the parameter, but still use the former message that does not need it). I did not find the code using that variant.

Was there an incorrect (too early) submission into Translatewiki, before the code using it is ready adn has been placed in yuor main branch, or still needs local tests? What really prevents it to be translated even in that case, even if it's still nto used in the main branch? If that new message variant will be replacing the other message not showing any link, but which was intended to be read by users in their language, it should be translatable (and the "$1" parameter should be also said to be needed in Translatewiki (just like it is documented in "/qqq" in your local repository). Note that the "/qqq" message posted in Translatewiki.net did not include the text you added in TWN, so may be this is an incorrect submission to TWN, with incorrect "/qqq" and missing declaration of the "$1" parameter that TWN still considers to be wrong if we try to translate it.

For now it's impossible to have that message marked in TWN as "not translated", or "not reviewed", it is not "optional", and any attempt to translate it requires removing "$1" to avoid the "fuzzy" state, but this would be wrong.

Also the former parameterless message (without the "-with-link" trailer in the ID) was terminated by a colon, and supposed to be followed by a "Download" button or link to go to the download page. If now you include the download link in the new message itself (without appending a separate download button or link, like with the previous message), then the new message with the required parameter should not contain a final colon but a final full stop. And in all cases, it should be translated to user languages (like the former parameterless message).
