Edits done by autopatrollers via the translate extension are not marked as patrolled
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Be an autopatroller at mediawiki.org
  • Translate a page

What happens?: The translated page is changed but the edit is unpatrolled.

What should have happened instead?: The edit to the translated page should be marked as patrolled.

Just to give an example: I had to mark many edits by https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Wladek92 as patrolled, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=patrol&user=Ameisenigel&page=&wpdate=2023-12-30&tagfilter=&wpFormIdentifier=logeventslist

Event Timeline

I just noticed that some edits by https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:FuzzyBot need to be patrolled as well.

I can't see what is patrolled and what isn't. Is there any documentation of this feature anywhere or can we access the UI somehow?

I have patrolled the edits manually. You can see what I have patrolled in my patrol log.

The pages in Translation: namespace are autopatrolled, the translated page itself is not autopatrolled.

That could be a regression of T351273 again, but looking at recent edits, the bug seems no longer reproduced. Can you confirm it is now fixed @Ameisenigel?

Yes, there is currently no problem.
