There are a number of significant bugs in MobileFrontend w/ respect to rendering Parsoid-generated content, broadly grouped under T269499: [Epic] Make MobileFrontend compatible with Parsoid HTML:
- T358980: Images displayed twice in mobile view on main page with Parsoid read views enabled
- T358981: Talk page discussion parsing is broken on mobile views with Parsoid read views enabled
- T303378: MobileFrontend removal of elements takes <templatestyles> tags with it
- T359005: Page issues not clickable in mobile view (new parser)
- T359000: Notification misplaced and color contrast issues on mobile
- T359001: Mobile section collapsing doesn't work with Parsoid HTML
- T359002: Lead paragraph is not hoisted in new Parsoid HTML
As we are turning on Parsoid read views by default for certain wikis (officewiki: T355566, Talk pages on wikitech: T355374) etc, these will start to become high priority issues.
One option is to disable parsoid read views on mobile web temporarily, until the web team can schedule the needed work on MobileFrontend (possibly including larger maintenance tasks like T217360). I *think* this can be done by looking at the requested skin when deciding whether to use Parsoid; some investigation required.
