We should be getting puppet CI to validate thanos (and prometheus) rules in the repo where applicable, for example https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/puppet/+/1011146 was deployed and contained errors, though we could have totally caught that before deployment via thanos tools rules-check (something that puppet does at runtime via validate_cmd)
