Mohr Siebeck access appears down for TWL
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

See title. Works I definitely had access to before as PDFs no longer appear as accessible. Pretty much the only stuff that comes back from the Wikipedia Library version of the Mohr Siebeck website now are stuff that is open-access anyway even if you didn't login. (Some examples: https://www-mohrsiebeck-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/en/book/justice-and-mercy-in-the-apocalypse-of-peter-9783161590306/ , https://www-mohrsiebeck-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/en/article/behavioral-antitrust-and-merger-control-101628093245611794656426/ ).

Is this a temporary issue or a long-term one? Can it be resolved on our side, or do we need to escalate to Mohr Siebeck about this?

Event Timeline

Yes, we spoke to Mohr Siebeck about this. This is a temporary issue on their side and they are working on fixing it.

Thanks!

Just noting that it's been over a month, and it still appears to be down. Any updates from Mohr Siebeck?

Hi @SnowFire!

The proxy access is broken for this partner and our engineering team is speaking to OCLC and Mohr Siebeck to fix this. We have not received a solution from OCLC yet and that's the reason for the delay.

Thanks,
Vipin

My bug report was merged here, but I don't think it's the same issue, since as late as 25 July, I was able to access ebooks, but by 31 July, it stopped working again.
Anyway, I wonder if there has been any progress.
Let me end by appreciating the hard work of running Wikpedia Library and its immense help to my research.

It seems that access to journal articles is working. On the other hand, books still display 'add to the cart' rather than 'read'.
In the 'Library' page, 'Your Library' shows only journals. I wonder if this means we are only granted journal access, and previous book access was revoked or perhaps had been granted mistakenly in the first place.
