@Nirzar one of the first things you did when you redesigned the feed/cards was nix the overlaid text on the lead images.

Before that, we tried hard to make it work and thought "it looked better" - but practically the images were unpredictable and it was hard to make the text readable. So I think it need up being a good choice.

I see the same challenges here that we were having trouble working around before. Just something to think about.

@Fjalapeno the big difference is, these images are curated. the problem surfaced with the "titles on images with gradient" when we saw diagrams, posters, flags as lead images. when we say photo of the day, these will be pictures. this is the only good place to use text on images.
