I guess this task has been filled following a conversation during the Lyon hackathon. Please elaborate as to what is the problem and what ForrestBot is going to solve :-) Meanwhile I am closing this task so it doesn't not see forever on our team dashboard.
Maybe it shouldn't be tagged as Release-Engineering-Team, but the bug is definitely something that needs to be solved. Forrestbot currently only adds tags to mediawiki-core bugs, but should also add a wmf-release tag if to commits to wmf-deployed extensions.
This means:
- commit to master: add next wmf deploy tag
- backport to wmfx: add that specific deploy tag
Agree. Offtopic: Shall I create a #forrestbot project in Phab? Or, are there plans to rename the tool?
Let's just call it ReleaseTaggerBot, and we'll rename the bot itself at
some point as well (and maybe give it an official bot flag as well!)
