-namespace is handled by pagegens , however many scripts have their own implementation of this argument, including archivebot.py , interwiki.py , redirect.py, reflinks.py, spamremove.py , and templatecount.py
In several other scripts -namespace is documented in the script instead of using the pagegen documentation for namespaces.

There is https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/185703 which supports a generic interface for others to just support a pagegenerator like namespace parameter.
