Add Category:Year of birth/death missing on Commons
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Currently, many people related categories in commons do not have a Year of birth and it would be helpful if AWB could use its is article about a person logic to determine if the Category is about a person, is missing Year of birth or related categories and add it if needed.

Same for Year of death: Currently, many people related categories in commons do not have a Year of death and it would be helpful if AWB could use its is article about a person logic to determine if the Category is about a person, is missing Year of death or related categories and add it if needed. Commons does not have a Category:Living people so this should only be done safely if the person contains a Year of birth Category prior to 1900.

@Reguyla I think this should be a bot task instead

I don't disagree there, it would be a good task for a bot. AWB has a lot of functionality that is used for bots though. I also agree this is a good example of where the IsArticleAboutAPerson logic for commons would be helpful.

As Magioladitis said, this should be a bot task. At most could be implemented as a specific plug-in, but not in AWB core.
