Currently, NFS is partially disabled in instances in the security-tools project - so no shared /home or /data/project, which is *awesome* - but it does cause puppet to fail, and you're still dependent on NFS because /public and /data/scatch are mounted. Confirm with @csteipp that these are not needed and then unmount them, and fix puppet fialing by properly disabling NFS for /home and /data/project as well.
