After some years without any comments, I move that this is approved and a HTML-5 tag be created.

I'm missing a use case why someone would like to follow only HTML-5 related tasks.

Our current use of HTML 5 is lacking. Either we are using obsolete elements/attributes/attribute values and we want to track deprecation/deletion from a social perspective or track our removal of support for those in the core/elsewhere, or we want to be aware of and/or take advantage of new elements/attributes, in core or elsewhere.

It would be a cross-cutting tag rather than a specific project, to be certain.

Related is T102492: Replace tracking bug T2209 by new project tag "HTML" and others linked therein. There are tasks there that probably should be tracked under the HTML 5 banner. I had cause to add the related tracking task to another item just now (T43917), swapping from T102492.

Aklapper claimed this task.
