Our donors sometimes request an End of Year receipt instead of 12 monthly receipts. Because our TY is quite long and doesn't look like a receipt, we could have donors opt into a single annual receipt for their tax purposes instead of monthly ones. We could also make brief monthly receipts for donors who do want a monthly reminder. Here's a task describing that: T112966

We currently manually send Year-end donation summary emails at donor request, from giving@wikimedia.org. In Q3 2015, we sent ~38 of these, which, though not an enormous number, is a slow process (15 min/per).
