The video community has been working on a structure how to facilitate video production in the Wikimedia movement. There was broad consensus at several meetings (London video lunch, Skype conference in Febuary 2015, discussion at Wikimania 2015) that a video wiki is useful and needed.

Andrew Lih has been following up on this with several WMF staff and Lila to communicate this as a decision by the video community and to facilitate the creation of this wiki.

Purpose:
Be a production environment (multilingual) for video producers, uploaders, editors. Central go-to point on video issues. Place for all manuals on video - from production, editing, uploading, re-using etc. We will move all the manuals found in several places over all wikis into this one wiki, translate and complete them.
Final results - video files - will still go to Commons, so Commons will stay the place for all content. We just need a place we can manage for our project planning, organising the community etc.
