Buttons should be bigger on responsive Vector
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Buttons, such as the "search" button on Special:NewFiles, do not have any special styling on mobile devices, which makes them hard to tap.

Proposed fix:

input[type="submit"], input[type="button"], input[type="reset"], input[type="file"] {
	padding: 15px;
}

IMO the input[type="file"] selector wouldn't strictly be necessary, but it does make the overall file selector area (on Special:Upload, for example) larger and thus easier to tap.

Thoughts?

I note that OOjs UI's MediaWiki theme buttons are bigger than regular HTML ones, and supposedly big enough for mobile devices. So this could be fixed through T100161. ;)

Agreed. Let's not do a custom solution and let's port all buttons to oojs ui so we can fix this problem everywhere - it's not unique to Responsive Vector

This is in no way a duplicate of T100161, it's just declined in favor of that solution.
