SVG fallback broken on Wikipedia

Description

SVG fallback does not work when MathML with SVG or PNG fallback (recommended for modern browsers and accessibility tools) is chosen. Tested on Chrome/-ium and Opera on Linux x86-64. (Also tried using various useragents to no avail.)

Instead of image, nothing is displayed at all but a blank white rectangle.

(Edit: hit Save Task by accident without filling out the whole thing.)
