The MediaWiki.org main page needs a redesign. It needs to be user friendly more information about information quicker to download things and easer to find older mediawiki releases ( for testing ). It would be greate if the main page look a bit like translatewiki.net which makes the page look different because it isent using vector as its default skin for main page.

You could probably get away with organising this on phabricator, but it's not a part of MediaWiki itself.

I think this fits better in the talk page of the main page, but I agree that it needs a redesign, it looks archaic.
