unable to add interlanguage links due to failing to log into central data repository
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Since today I am unable to add interlanguage links to a Wikipedia article. When I try to add them, it says that I have to be logged in on both Wikipedia and the central data repository (wikidata). However, when I try to log in on Wikidata, it says that I am already logged in. Yet, I don't see my name appear in the left upper corner, as it normally always does on wikisites. When I come back to Wikipedia, it still says that I am unable to add links because I am not logged in on central data repository. I never had this before. Does anyone know the solution?

Can you separately log into the Wikipedia?

Are you logged into other wikis, eg. Commons?

I guess I am automatically member of all the other Wiki-sites, ain't I? As far as I can check, my name appears when logging in on Wikipedia and on the following website: commons, wikibooks, wikiquotes, wikiversity, mediawiki, wikivoyage, wikimedia, wikispieces. Other websites I did not check yet. Nonetheless most of these I never use. The only website that does not show my account name in the right upper corner is Wikidata. When I want to log in on wikidata it automatically refreshes and then claims the following: "You are centrally logged in. Reload the page to apply your user settings." I just tried to log out and log in on Wikibooks and did the same on Wikimedia Commons.. It both worked fine.

This might help, these are two screenshots.

This issue is new and likely unrelated to the other one :) I'm going to merge it with the one we have for fixing the current issue.
