There is a list of names which can be added as edit summary in Tamil Wikipedia/
Previously, On clicking the values listed above edit summary, it used to utilize that as edit summary.
Now nothing is happening except a refresh on that page.
Kindly do the needful.

Could you please open the browser's console (or whatever it is called in your browser) and reload the page that you see the problem on? If there is a problem or an error with JavaScript it should be printed in that console.

I do not get the same display on ta.wikipedia.org as you have posted.
I just see "சுருக்கம்:" above the edit summary field and nothing else. Firefox 39, logged in.
If this is some gadget, please provide the name of the gadget.
Am not sure about the name of the gadget. I know how it works. On clicking either of these words (highlighted on left side), the Java-script will include that text in Edit Summary (Text Box below).
Note: Most of js gadgets stopped working in our wiki after the latest upgrade of Meta wiki.

I guess you meant MediaWiki? Gadgets must be migrated to ResourceLoader, see T107399 and T75810 for reasons and T108282 for tracking problems.
Enabling all gadgets and going to a random page on ta.wikipedia.org and editing it (making sure that &action=edit&usedebug=true is part of the URL) and clicking one of these gadget options, the browser's error console says:
ReferenceError: summaryTextOnClick is not defined
So whatever Gadget that is and wherever its code is based, this needs to be fixed.
From a quick Google search, it might be https://ta.wikipedia.org/wiki/பயனர்::Logicwiki/EditSummary.js (or not).
In any case, this looks like it requires on-wiki changes in the gadget code, which makes this task in Phabricator invalid (as this is purely on-wiki code).
