Description

Since last weekend (8 aug) I see to be getting an increasing amount of javascript problems. This is about the same time to obnoxious spinner was introduced (see T108365 about killing that one). Symptoms:

Stupid spinner popping up after page load
Authority control not working half of the time
Firefox complaining about scripts not responding
Javascript seems to be eating loads of cpu cycles
