Fatal error: Invalid opcode 153/1/8. in /includes/registration/ExtensionRegistry.php on line 247 due to eAccelerator
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hi, I encountered this error on my installation of MW 1.25.1 PHP 5.3.28 (apache2handler) MySQL 5.5.37

Google search tells me that it has something to do with eAccelerator, and some suggested to turn it off. Problem is, the eAccelerator is an integral part on the other projects on the server, so it's an automatic no. Whan can I do to resolve this problem in MW side? The same happened with MW 1.23 installation, but MW 1.19 working fine (and no, I can't downgrade it to 1.19)

I was pointed out to the fork managed by people at NEC at https://github.com/NewEraCracker/eaccelerator. Is there anybody who used the original eAccelerator previously and got the error and moved to this branch? Did it solve the problem or not? The person who I could ask to update the eAccelerator was mostly not available to reach due to his busyness, so I can't test it for myself.

@Bennylin: This might be a configuration support request. Have you brought this up on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Support_desk ? If so, link is welcome.

After the old eAccelerator was replaced by XCache, the error was resolved.
