Hi Shani. I'm glad to see this task being added, and I really love this idea of having an event calendar about educational events. I'm wondering if it would make sense to merge this task with https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T112664 (decide where event calendar lives) and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T111968 (create edu calendar), since they all three aim to do the same thing. Would you be okay with that?
Our team can take the lead in creating the list and adding some events we know of, and then if people hear about other events, they can add them to the calendar themselves. Does that sound like a good division of the work? If yes, I'll leave one main task and assign that to Tighe, who was willing to take this task on.

Hi, Floor. This makes perfect sense. The only thing we should strive for in such a case, is that the platform will allow us to differentiate between internal-community events and outside events. Similarly to the way google calendars allow you to manage various calendars, which you can then click on or off to change to the view you want. Or a simpler version, of color-coded events.
