Hi there -

Should this ticket be on the portal board? I totally agree we should do this work - but I don't think it deals with the wikipedia portal work that we're currently focused on.

The board used to be called Discovery-UX-Sprint.
Since it was changed to Discovery-Portal-Sprint, I think we should have moved this ticket.

However, it is an A/B test/feature tested on the portal that we want to test on-wiki.
Since we did the initial code, and we are the front-end/UX engineers in the team, I guess it makes sense to keep it around so it doesn't get lost on a board that gets less attention?
Not my call.

This is a valuable test, but our goal here is specifically to run tests on the portal, not on-wiki. We should take this off this sprint board. Let's keep focussed on achieving our goal; once we've done that, we can consider doing these tests.

Hey as promised heres a slightly bigger button with a slightly bigger search icon.

I'm also attaching the search icon in 1x and 2x sizes. Our AB tests had the search icon pixelated on retina displays. So using a @2x image will help with that. Maybe the icon crisp. The icons will appear white on phabricator because they are white on a transparent background.

Perfect, thanks! I'll add it to the ticket!

The latest SVGs are usually at Dropbox.

Moving this to the portal backlog board for now.
