587 MB file to upload, chunked upload failed at assembling state
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Hi, apologies if I am repeating,

I posted before but my help request went astray, and I could not find my way around here. I have an ogv video file, 587 MB. Chunked upload failed on the assembling stage using Firefox and Chrome. I wonder if you can upload it yourself. Tried to upload here but failed as well.

Secondly, could there be any objection with licensing to upload this Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution file? This is the case. Many thanks in advance

Re T112013 Ok, I read the answers you posted to my previous message. It seems there is no possible solution? Sorry, on the [ https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Server-side_upload server side help] could not fine anything. Thanks

matmarex set Security to None.

What is the file name of the file? Perhaps it can be looked up in some logs what had happened.

What do you see at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadStash ? (Do you see anything that looks like the file in question?)

Tried to upload here but failed as well.

Phabricator probably won't take large files, you'd have to upload it to some file hosting service, or possibly something like Dropbox.

Hi matmarex, this is what I get:

13g22mvjpjgo.62ipt2.262119.qt
13g2v6vufubo.ql1c0i.262119.qt
13g3o0s5bsow.8i7966.262119.qt

Filename is AsironLaburpena.ogv if that helps. Thank you

Filename is AsironLaburpena.ogv if that helps.

@matmarex: Did that help somehow to look up logs?

Ummm, sorry I am lost. The logs tell nothing to me... What I am supposed to do next? Thank you

Sorry, I do not have access to things myself, and I did not have time to go poking people.

I think the only thing I can do now is to try to reproduce the issue myself, but sadly this does not have a very high priority – uploading half-gigabyte files is not what most of the users do most of the time :)

Ok Ok, I am trying to convert it into a smaller version. However, any move
to figure out current problems will be much appreciated. Thanks
