stat1003/EventLogging access for asherman
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Andrew Sherman (@asherman) from the WMF Comms team needs access to the Eventlogging table containing pageview data of the Wikimedia blog. That's the WikimediaBlogVisit_5308166 table in the "log" database on stat1003, hosted (I think) on analytics-store.eqiad.wmnet. He is https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Asherman .

@Ottomata, I'm assigning this to you per Kevin's advice, who also said you would be able to determine the necessary user rights on stat1003. (I'm accessing it myself as member of the "researchers" group, but I don't know if that right is needed).

Thanks in advance! @Katherine-WMF will be able to give manager approval.

@asherman: Sorry this wasn't asked earlier, but nobody noticed that you didn't have shell access at all to begin with. In order to proceed, I need you to supply a SSH public key distinct from any Labs key, as well as to review and sign L3

@coren: No problem, Will this work (below)? This is different from the SSH key I set up in labs.

-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

That is the private key. Please generate a new one and only send out the public part.

Ahh I see what I did wrong. My apologies, I have generated a new SSH key and here is the public key:

ssh-rsa AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAADAQABAAABAQCoNjOK45S7G5ZyAFFE4lLfNvcW+67JMyLPhivnXIYPckEKdA08FW3GNNuvLqfeSseKvhLGHwBEVeK3osA1ZFwbsKUyRPxHxL2iIaCj7JUp/3QoHjxUa4pFCRM408mrlEnhMYMJwjQ5irXkO7LHyE/89v3Jv2ext6S3vOGSdVDrQcAlS6zZnuWtlMeIh/oj0+0HrW6e6HoMeYqbb9t0tUr/X18emh9K9jQ3bKmbnEv4iVEKBBImJ6MVpXaDAX7zwAcAXGgtfXp1oNIR7z21uM1RuxlcP1Sj60x/RNPc3dbD+xi25ddaIfVC4mO6VoHcBsxwSHHWVVsyqHalRP666kK7 Andrew@Andrews-MBP-2

If this one isn't right then I am confused. I accidentally used the private key the first time instead of finding my .pub file with the public key related to that private key.

I have now created a new SSH key and pasted the .pub content form this key creation (the key I pasted above).

With L3 signed and the new key, this is now pushed to production.
