Has this been discussed with the Russian translators on https://translatewiki.net and do they agree that GENDER is required here (instead of e.g. changes to the translation)?

Thanks for the links
MediaWiki:Contributions-title/ru
MediaWiki:Contributions/ru
MediaWiki:Sp-contributions-username/ru does not contain an additional parameter 1

Add GENDER to messages on Special:(Deleted)Contributions

Add GENDER to messages on Special:(Deleted)Contributions
Is there any complexity to adding this to page title? MediaWiki:Contributions already has gender support, but the parameter is not being passed to the message on Special:Contributions, would it be hard to do? (Not asking to nudge people, but rather to know if I can submit a patch.)

[mediawiki/core@master] Add gender support to Special:Contributions page title
It is now removed, because it was not working as expected in that location - https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/core/+/645454
Frankly, I do not get the rationale for this. If the message text is User contributions, it should be able to display [Female user] contributions in gendered languages in the page title, because otherwise women get misgendered by the interface. If that is simply impossible, then it should’ve been edited simply to Contributions for translation purposes in your patch.
(I will abandon my untested patch for adding that support, though, I guess.)
The problem is that one message was used in different situation, even without a user context and that was fixed by splitting the message.
After this it is possible to revisit the situation and may fix it properly.

[mediawiki/core@master] Use same title for page and html on Special:(Deleted)Contributions
Adding Regression because GENDER support used to work well on page title.
GENDER support is requested in fr.wp too.

You can now test on beta wikis, for example the ru version: https://ru.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D0%BB%D1%83%D0%B6%D0%B5%D0%B1%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%8F:%D0%92%D0%BA%D0%BB%D0%B0%D0%B4
I don’t understand how the change is useful: MediaWiki:contributions seems to be still used as page heading, and does not still support GENDER.
My bad, that’s actually good: the username is only expected when it is provided, on Special:Contributions/username, not on Special:Contributions itself (since no specific user are pointed).
Sorry, and thank you for the fix!
