Notifications icon(s) missing or shown inconsistently with custom CSS
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Notifications icon(s) misisng and shown inconsistently on Commons.

I have the following code in my .css

.oo-ui-icon-bell {display: none !important;}
.oo-ui-icon-speechBubble {display: none !important;}

This should make the "images" in the icons not be visable in the second screenshot.

AFAIK, Special:Preferences has user css disabled (T72672). I'm inclined to close this task as declined.

That does not explain why the notification-icon(s) are ompleatly missing on other pages, since that css should only disable the small "images", not remove the entire icon.

What you might want is

$(".oo-ui-icon-bell").removeClass("oo-ui-icon-bell")

in your js, or

.oo-ui-icon-bell {background-image: none;}

in your css
