Make Translate and Collection extensions compatible
Open, LowPublic

Description

There does not seem to be a project for the Offline Content Generator. However Collection and Translate are affected, so adding these.

Currently on exported pages the translate tags as well as other translation related particles are directly shown like e.g.

<translate> The Translate extension

or

[[<tvar|how>Special:MyLanguage/How does MediaWiki work?</>|MediaWiki]]

Surprisingly the languages tag is not directly shown.

This issue affects e.g. mediawikiwiki or outreachwiki. It will be utterly cool if this issue could be tackled.

Translate currently uses special syntax. Apart from changing that thing completely, there is nothing Translate can do to support other core parsing wikitext, the support currently needs to come from them.

Nikerabbit renamed this task from Make extension Translate compatible with extension Collection to Make Translate and Collection extensions compatible.

As already announced in Tech News, OfflineContentGenerator (OCG) will not be used anymore after October 1st, 2017 on Wikimedia sites. OCG will be replaced by Electron. You can read more on mediawiki.org.
