Template/reference preview of links is relative to current page, not the correct base, until saved
Closed, ResolvedPublic8 Estimated Story Points

Description

  1. type some text and cite a reference
  2. edit the reference to create a link on a random field. For example, on Cite Web, create a link on the content on Website title field: [[Le Monde]]
  3. the generated link is incorrect. On the same example on my sandbox, [[Le Monde]] will display the following title when you hover the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Trizek_(WMF)/sandbox/Le_Monde instead of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Monde
  4. save the page, the link is correct

Tested on Firefox on Fedora and Ubuntu, on French and English Wikipedia. Nothing happen on Chromium. A priori, this is not a template issue.

"is relative to current page"
Right except when we are on main namespace : we have so a link like
.org/w/article
instead of
.org/wiki/article

This no longer seems to be a problem.
