Allow centralized user talk page for shared user accounts

Description:
I would like to ask if it would be possible for those of us who belong to a lot
of different wiki services, as I do ((11 language versions of Wikipedia, plus
Wikinews (2 versions) and Wikibooks), whether we could have a system whereby we
have a centralised message area in our user area, to see if we have messages
posted for us on other projects - kind of like a pager.

As an example: You login to the pager for the first time, enter the usernames
and passwords of all the wiki*edia sites you belong to, and specify which sites
they assign to. When somebody posts a message on your talk page in one of those
other sites, you get the "You have new messages" banner on whichever site we are
on, but the banner alerts you to *WHERE* those messages are ("You have new
messages on ro.wikipedia.org")

This is a serious request, since its often a few weeks between me getting to
some of the other Wiki sites I belong to, by which time I have missed a message
or 3.

I think it would be a nice feature. Thanks for your consideration.

This is probably a duplicate of some bug filed somewhere. Note that implementation on Wikimedia
sites will in practice depend on bug 57.
