Summary / Rationale
Wikipedia articles contain a wealth of non-textual content, such as audio clips and geo-coordinates. These are very useful facets of the article, and should be surfaced more prominently in the app. Specifically, many articles contain an audio pronunciation clip (recorded by volunteers), as well as fully spoken versions of the article, which deserve to be more readily accessible in the app. Also, the geo-location of the article is currently entirely hidden in the app, while being one of the more important bits of data.
Goal Visibility
Internal goal
Success Metrics
Still being finalized, but the metrics will be based on engagement with the new multimedia content.
External Dependencies
This depends on the Content Service, since it will provide the structure that the app will use to expose the multimedia content.
Unknowns
None.
Product Plan
Prototyping
See dependent tasks.
MVP
See mockups in dependent tasks.
Metrics Implementation
Define any tasks needed to be completed to enable the success metrics to measured. Create a Phab task and link to it here.
