As suggested in T115006#1734837, the definition of article lists can be more dynamic than an explicit list of items. Being able to define a group of articles based on a Wikidata query (e.g., painters born in Paris) would allow to have an up-to-date list without further maintenance required as new information is available.

This needs further technical design considerations (how to support the definition of a query, communicate that the list is dynamic, etc.).
