Using VisualEditor, I tried inserting a link to a standard email-me page by pasting "Special:EmailUser/Dreamyshade" into the link-adding interface, and VisualEditor displayed the link in red with the note "page does not exist yet".

This is somewhat confusing since the page does exist. When I clicked "open" from VisualEditor's test-this-link widget, the link worked. The link was fine after I saved the page.

I'm getting inconsistent results when experimenting with inserting other special pages such as Special:RecentChanges and Special:SpecialPages - sometimes they work correctly (showing up as blue links) and sometimes they show up as red links. This may depend on whether I simply type the page name and click "insert", or whether I start typing the name and click a search result and then click "insert".

I even sometimes get inconsistent results with trying to insert links to Special:EmailUser/Dreamyshade.

But I do consistently get red links when trying to insert a link to Special:Random, so that may be a helpful way to reproduce this bug. Thanks!
