Google Chrome for Android recently implemented a new way to handle tabs. Instead of a tabs menu, which lists all open tabs and allows to open new tabs, it generates new tabs like new apps, which will be added to the system own app switcher (Open Apps Switcher contains apps and tabs). This would be good to have for the Wikipedia app, too.

@Dbrant, @Nirzar, in light of the tabbed browsing discussions happening, I wanted to quickly resurface this idea.

More recent versions of Android and Chrome seem to be discouraging this pattern.
