Women in Red workflow automation / optimization (tracking)

Description

The Women in Red project does list curation and other things by hand. It shouldn't have to.

This task will be considered complete when there are successor tasks/proposals for WikiProject tools that automate the work currently done by hand.

The investigation part of the task is done for now; turning it into a tracking task to identify high-priority improvements.

Notes from meeting with Rosie:

  • Rosie likes the idea of the simplified membership list
  • Fully automated worklists should be done before Wikimania 2016
  • Max Klein is working on the Metrics thing; should not be a high priority
  • Interesting thing: when an article on a new article list *becomes* a red link (could an article have been saved?)
  • Upgrading the look and feel:
    • Main page: you have to scroll down to get to the different sections. Rosie likes tabs; we should consider adapting a tab-like interface
      • Moving between women-related projects incl. Art+Feminism and 100wikidays
      • Wiki Women's User Group + Spanish language equivalent
    • Monmouthpedia and Gibraltarpedia: many people like the tabs on the top, the "unique feel"; stylized logotype
    • Opposed to a woman wearing a red hat/dress
