Currently, while both labstore* servers in eqiad are configured to be able to serve files from the filesystems on the shelves ostensibly connected to both servers, only one of them is in fact physically connected at any one time.

While it is theoretically possible for the OS to avoid assembling the arrays or activating the volumes, we are not confident at this time that it can be done with 100% safety in practice, and given how damaging it is if that happens.

SCSI reservations, while they should do the trick, are not supported by the H800 controller even though the disks actually support it.
