Two sub-issues unrelated to whether the ticket got lost or the number is wrong:

  • OTRS probably should not give such a scary error message (with stack trace and everything) on a simple invalid parameter error
  • if it does, it should link to Phabricator, not the OTRS bug tracker

I guess these are upstream errors though?

This ticket would have been received back in May of this year. This error indicates that the ticket number is invalid or no longer valid. Long story short, the ticket was deleted - probably by a volunteer mistakenly labeling it as spam.

With regards to the error message, OTRS assumes all of its bugs are upstream which is why they are pointing to the OTRS tracker.

Unfortunately, OTRS has not provided the best error messages for inaccessible tickets in this and other scenarios. We've had an upstream bug requesting such so that the user has a better understanding of what the issue is.

Ok, I realize that is not a technical problem by why on Earth do people go around and mark closed-successful tickets as spam? That means we are losing permissions for accepted images, which is very troublesome to put it mildly...

Of course this is not an action that the OTRS admins would encourage or condone. But it does happen in isolated incidents. It was likely not on purpose.
