Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The local chapter (WM-CL), will host an edit-a-thon event at Santiago on November 21, 2015.

This event will include a an Edit-a-thon (on the 21), with editors working together to learn or improve their editing skills, and then to create or improve articles related to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

We are expecting about 30 people to attend. One of the things we'd like to do is encourage potential newbie participants to create their own accounts during the session and learn editing, guided by some active editors.

Could I please request you to remove the 7 username in a 6 hour period limit with these details?

Timeframe: Saturday 21, 10:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC

Be careful with the time zones, 10:00 UTC is early morning at Santiago.

Okay, I see on the wiki page it's 10-14 local hours, 14-18 UTC, confusion understood.

Change 253541 had a related patch set uploaded (by Dereckson):
Editatón contra la violencia hacia las mujeres throttle rule

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/253541

@Dereckson, there was no confusion. I intentionally added more time, to not be tight over the schedule. I request a couple hours before and after, and moreover since Chile is on GMT-3 now, which has created a lot of time frames issues, specially which schedules coordination. For example, you miss calculated the hours since you used GMT-4, which is a time zone we are not longer in. If possible at all, please allow extra time at the beggining and the end. Thanks a lot for everything!

Merged during morning SWAT. We put all the day as timestamps so you've all the margin you wish, including for people arriving late.
