302 special page redirects don't actually redirect in production
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

(Test this with JavaScript disabled or curl etc. since there is some JS that alters the address bar and confuses matters).

When I visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MyTalk?action=history my understanding is that there's supposed to be a 302 to https://en.wikipedia.orgw/index.php?title=User_talk:Username&action=history .

It does redirect for me locally on MediaWiki-Vagrant, even with the Varnish role enabled (I understand the MediaWiki-Vagrant varnish is different from the production one).

In production, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MyTalk?action=history somehow redirects internally (Varnish?) without changing the URL.
