OAuth login for phabricator impossible on MobileFrontend
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

If I try to login on Phabricator from a mobile browser, I'm redirected from mediawiki.org to m.mediawiki.org and authorisation fails with a nonsensical error "Nessun tentativo di accesso attivo è in corso per la sessione."

MobileFrontend shouldn't redirect such an URL if the redirect is disruptive.

Sort of duplicate of T112730 except this one is for Phabricator and so can't use the workaround mentioned there. (Or maybe it can? Not sure.) See also T74186.

Note also that we do want the authorization form to be redirected to mobile since the desktop form looks horribly on a mobile screen. (T75062)

Nothing is more horrible that a red error I can't do anything about. :)

Doesn't sound like this needs any changes in MobileFrontend itself.. am I correct?

We need:

MobileFrontend shouldn't redirect such an URL if the redirect is disruptive.

Are you saying the redirect to m.mediawiki.org is caused by something else?

Yes. Varnish.

@ovasileva if you remove the tag it shows up in the triage board. This is what tracking is for.

@Jdlrobson - didn't notice the mobilefrontend tag was still on there. Do we still need this in tracking?
