Although it is not ideal, when faced with the potential loss of thousands, or tens of thousands of donors, we need a donation flow of absolute last resort.
Excellent idea! I believe @Jseddon says "donate.wiki" cos this came up in the context of a batch of bulk email which was impacted by a paymentswiki outage. We should probably come up with a mechanism so that email links can be redirected through something that is easier to failover than donatewiki is. Also, we should investigate fallback methods beyond PayPal, and a way to failover payment processing in CentralNotice banners.
