Steps to reproduce

• Go to for example https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Preferences

Actual results

• You carn't close your account meaning you carn't delete it.

Expected results

• I think there needs to be support added officially to mediawiki to close your account which means deleting it permantly.

Reasons that I am requesting is that a user should have the right to delete his or her account without needing to request a deletion which I doint think there are any updated extensions that do this.

And it allows another user to use that username since it would be a unused username once deleted.
