Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

I test flow in my talk page 4 Months ago and I suffered from some issues:

1- any user add my talk page to his watchlist he would get notification, some users annoyed from it.
2- I can't protect page from edit, last September I got high vandalism attack in my talk page and nothing to do.

Hi @Ibrahim.ID, thanks for taking the time to report this! For future reference, please include only one problem per report.

Aklapper renamed this task from 2 issues in flow to Can't protect my Flow user talk page from editing.Dec 28 2015, 10:43 PM
Aklapper set Security to None.

1- any user add my talk page to his watchlist he would get notification, some users annoyed from it.

This is standard behavior for Flow talk pages. However, the Flow notification settings can be changed at https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5:%D8%AA%D9%81%D8%B6%D9%8A%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA#mw-prefsection-echo .

We plan to improve this further (more detailed volume control so you can get exactly the Flow notifications you want).

2- I can't protect page from edit, last September I got high vandalism attack in my talk page and nothing to do.

The standard protection techniques should work on Flow as well (e.g. full protect the board/talk page, semi-protect, etc.). There are also some additional protection techniques available, but they are not relevant for deliberate vandalism.

If protection isn't working, please clarify what you tried (or would like to try), and what you expected to happen.

In the future, please try to file separate tasks for separate issues.

I am closing this for now, but please reply anyway.

If there are any new issues, I will reopen it or create a new task.

Aklapper claimed this task.
