Description

Milestones:

Acceptance Criteria:

  • All audience-facing product teams accept and understand how to use a shared definition of 'core work'
  • Documentation includes guidelines for handling work that doesn't easily fit in this framework included. (e.g., "other" (non-core, non-strategic))
  • Documentation includes answers for all previously raised questions/alternate definitions (e.g., "interrupt", etc)

Event Timeline

ksmith moved this task from To Triage to General backlog on the Team-Practices board.
JAufrecht renamed this task from A documented and agreed upon definition of ‘core work’ exists to [EPIC] A documented and agreed upon definition of ‘core work’ exists.Jan 25 2016, 9:06 PM
JAufrecht added a project: Epic.

To keep the scope of this tight, I would advocate for breaking out the last two acceptance criteria into their own (non-critical, non-MVP) sub-task.

ksmith subscribed.

@KLans_WMF : I am not clear on the disposition of this task.

To resolve it, we would have to edit the task to remove "agreed", as well as perhaps the bullets about "guidelines" and "answers". Earlier you had proposed splitting this in half, which would have helped (or perhaps still could).

The original initiative got far enough along for the foundation to complete its annual plan. It is not clear whether additional work will be needed, and especially whether any needed work would align with these earlier plans. Declining.
