Republish Google Code-in participant blog post(s) on official Wikimedia blog
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Google_Code-in_2015 ends today. Several participants (students) have summarized their experience in blog posts.

@Aklapper (one of the org admins) has blogged about GCI in T124781: Republish Andre's blogpost about Wikimedia & Google Code-in 2015 on Wikimedia blog. Before (or after) there could also be GCI student participant content about their GCI experience.

List of existing participant blog posts:

Note: There is already a draft for Kiwix: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog/Drafts/How_Google_Code-in_helped_this_year_%28again%29_open-source_project_Kiwix

If not, the longer we wait, the more this task becomes de-facto "declined" I guess... :)

Hi @Aklapper, apologies for the delay. We could run one or two on the same page—can you point me to the most impactful post(s)?

"My Walk with Wikimedia" is perfect. We'll get that out soon and I'll ping back here.

@EdErhart-WMF: Any news?

This was published on February 20. Sorry for the delay.

I think this will be the only one to be republished on the blog, but @EdErhart-WMF might clarify that.

If so, I suppose this task may be closed :)

Aklapper assigned this task to jrbs.

Oh, I must have missed that! Thank you!
Let's resolve this task. Thanks again!
