Flow messages are not editable and new topics can't be posted (API outage)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

For investigation.

Seen between 13:50 and 14:00 UTC, on French and Esperanto Wikipedia.

It was impossible to edit on VE mode (like T123011), switch to wikitext or post a new message.

The interfaces gave me various messages, most of the time empty (just the red frame) of with no sense ("Une erreur s’est produite. <br />Le message d’erreur reçu était : http").
On the console, the API gives a 503 on both wikis (tested with Firefox and Chromium, and by @Johan as well).

There was a little API outage a few minutes ago, now fixed.

Parsoid relies on the MediaWiki API and the later was totally unresponsive. Incident occurred roughly between 13:30 UTC and 14:00 UTC. Root cause is still being investigated and a postmortem will follow with actions.

Still happening, time to time.

I manage to get this error message while posting a reply: [d561f47c] Exception Caught: Request to parsoid for 'html' to 'wikitext' conversion of content connected to title "Sujet:Sx49flz1h3ni1ybf" failed: 503

I manage to post anyway just by reclicking on "Reply"

Parsoid graphs indicate zero 503 HTTP status errors for quite some time, with just a single burst post the outage. Are you still seeing this?

Nothing new.

mark claimed this task.

We have no indication that anything is wrong other than some brief effects shortly after the outage, graphs are clean now. Resolving this.
